The River of Life Church is a collection of many cultures and nationalities; people from every walk of life - many of whom are newly committed followers of Jesus who have discovered a need to meet regularly with our Creator and connect with others of His creation frequently. 

It is our vision, and our greatest mission, to bring people into an intense awareness of the presence of God, through the ministry of the Word and Worship. 

"The River" was founded in 1998 by Dr. Andrew J. Willis and Pastor Cheryl Willis, as they saw a genuine need to reach those who don't know God, and those hurt and wounded by religion. The River is an original expression of the local church, primarily built on first-generation believers, planted in suburban Houston, Texas.
